Having spent about 17 years undusted on the shelf, the GST Bill has finally been passed. The Goods & Services Tax took effect from 1st July 2017. The new regulations require all the marketers to register for GST to receive a 15- digit GST registration number. We’re still getting to know the structure of this tax system and how this impacts various industrial verticals. While answers for this can be sought from an accountant or any other expert, I’d like to use this opportunity to highlight how GST impacts Facebook Advertising. I’ve been asked questions like,
- Is a GST going to be levied on purchasing of Facebook Ads??
- Is it important to add your GST number to your account to keep your advert account functioning?
- How to add your GST number to your advert account?
Read on to have some of these FAQs answered.
