Many doctors today don’t just worry about their patient’s health but also about what patients will talk about them on Social Media channels. Digital Marketing is becoming the need of the hour for hospitals, healthcare and doctors as a patient today majorly searches for things online.
Patients are either searching for symptoms and solutions or are looking for specialists in specific.
Today, people have become critical and would like to share their experiences online, especially negative ones.
Practo, Google and Facebook reviews are the most used touch points by patients who are extremely satisfied and extremely dissatisfied.
In India, digital marketing for healthcare, hospitals and doctors is one of the very hot segments as some doctors today are also good marketers. You can sense that through their hoardings, in clinic branding and their enthusiasm for learning about digital marketing.
I had the privilege to host three sessions, one for Medicall – India’s largest conference and exhibition for medical equipment and other Ophthall – Largest conference for eye doctors and eye care exhibitors.

Concept was to introduce digital marketing to participants first, followed by rapid-fire with panelists and then the audience was split into three teams asking us different questions, each of these teams later scored a certain number of points on the basis of the quality of the questions and later I as a moderator ask back questions to participants on the basis of the response given by the panellists.
