Google AI Mode is set to become the default Search experience, now supporting Hindi, Indonesian, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, and English, making search smarter and more intuitive. YouTube is adding AI-powered Shorts stickers, live polls, and even tools to create alternative story endings. OpenAI updated ChatGPT’s search capabilities, enhancing shopping, formatting, and factual accuracy. Meanwhile, Meta is rolling out a custom AI-generated video clip feed, bringing personalized video experiences to the next level.

1. AI-Generated Backgrounds for Video Chats Are Added by WhatsApp

Whatsapp has added a new feature into their video calls. Now, you can add backgrounds to make calls more engaging and fun. 

2. YouTube Updates Livestream Donations and Community Post Sharing

YouTube is making Community Posts easier to share, with direct links, and making  livestreams fun new interactive gifts like “Cat ears,” “Flower crown,” and “Royal crown.” These pop on screen for 8–15 seconds when viewers use Jewels. Plus, creators can experiment with “gift goals”, live fundraising milestones that reward the community when met. 

3. Auto-Added Thread Counts on Posts are rolled out by Threads.

Threads now auto-adds a post count for multi-part threads. It handles the numbering and updates it if you edit the thread. Plus, on profiles, the first two posts are grouped under a handy “View more” label, making it easier to follow the full conversation. 

4. Google Ads Gets More Options for Customised Graphs

Google Ads has introduced new customisation options for certain graphing, charting, and reporting features. With this update, “Conversion Delay,” “Performance Anomaly Insights,” and “Notes,” are added along with modified notification icons.

5. Bing Evaluates Related Searches That Lead To Additional

Microsoft Bing is testing a new feature to make searching more easy. Now, if you hover your mouse over a search query, automatically suggested querties are listed below.

6. Keyword Suggestions in the Bing Search Floating Copilot Search Box

Bing has added keyword suggestions next to its floating Copilot search box. These clickable prompts pop up in the search results interface, making it easier to find what to search next.

7. Google AI Mode Will Soon Become the default Search Mode 

Google might soon make “AI Mode” the default way to search. Google is making AI Mode easier to find, not replacing the regular search experience for everyone. 

8. WhatsApp has introduced New Group Call Options

To help increase its potential use, WhatsApp is introducing additional collaboration tools like call link notifications, group call scheduling, and in-chat indications for contributors.

9. Edits Receives Safe Zone Mapping, Updated Reels Insights, and More

The Edits analytics user interface has been changed by Meta to make it simpler to navigate between your creations and view their relative performance. Safe zone mapping has also been included by Meta in the Edits composer. Along with a new progress overview for app exports, keyframe curves have been added to give you more control over the animations in your clips.

10. Hindi, Indonesian, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, and English are now supported by Google AI Mode.

Google’s AI Mode’s is introducing first language expansion. Finally, AI Mode now supports languages other than English, thanks to Google’s rapid expansion and increased release of the app in additional countries. Hindi, Indonesian, Japanese, Korean, and Brazilian Portuguese are now supported by AI Mode.

11. Bing Tests Hover-Expanding Ad Text

On Bing Search, Microsoft is experimenting with extending the text of its Microsoft Advertising search adverts. Thus, the text expands when you move your mouse pointer over an advertisement in Bing Search.

12. Google’s Autocomplete Search Suggestions Now Display AI Mode

Shortcuts in AI Mode are now displayed by Google in its autocomplete search recommendations. Google could try to use shortcuts to take you to AI Mode as you text in the main Google Search box.

13. Microsoft Sponsored Ads Are Tested by Bing Using Three Dots by URL

For the sponsored advertisements URL in the Bing search results, Microsoft Advertising is experimenting with utilising three dots rather than the arrow down. Before, the Bing test had three dots, but they were horizontal; now, the three dots are vertical.

14. Threads Experiments Communities To Encourage Topical Engagement

Threads is creating a new “Communities” feature that will enable users to interact with people who share their interests within the app. This could increase app involvement and engagement while also assisting in informing the Threads about your preferences through topic-based discussion.

15. YouTube Introduces AI Shorts Stickers and Live Polls

AI-generated stickers for Shorts are being introduced by YouTube, allowing you to make personalised text-to-image stickers that you can apply to your Shorts videos, also introducing live sticker polls for mobile devices. YouTube has also introduced a number of additional presents for vertical live streams, such as a golden goat and a “GG” icon.

16. Threads Expands Personal DM’s

Anyone in the app can now send messages to anyone else through Threads’ expansion of its direct message features. A new pop-up in the app is telling some users that they may now enable message requests, allowing them to send direct messages to persons they don’t follow.

17. Sticky Search Bar Header being Tested by Bing

A new search bar/box header for the Bing Search results is being tested by Microsoft. When you scroll through the search results, the Bing search bar sticks at the top.

18. OpenAI Updates ChatGPT’s Search: Shopping, Formatting, and Factuality

OpenAI announced that it had enhanced ChatGPT’s search function. Now, its results are more reliable, precise, and practical. The update also discusses formatting, shopping, and factuality. According to OpenAI, its answer quality has increased and its hallucinations have decreased.

19. Google Tests Citation Cards at the Bottom of AI Overview 

On the desktop search user interface, Google is experimenting with putting the citation cards/boxes at the bottom of the AI Overviews rather than on the right-hand side. To click on the links and sources for the AI Overviews, you must scroll.

20. WhatsApp Introduces Message Translation in-stream

Instead of processing messages through external servers, WhatsApp is now introducing a new in-stream message translation feature that will allow users to translate messages into another language directly within their chats while maintaining end-to-end encryption on their phone.

21. YouTube Introduces an Option to Get rid of Video End Screens

To cut down on distractions during playback, YouTube is introducing the ability to disable those frequently distracting end screen links. For this, it has been experimenting with a new “Hide” option that shows up in the playback window’s upper right corner whenever end screens show up.

22. Meta Introduces a Custom AI-Generated Video Clip Feed

Meta has introduced “Vibes.” a latest AI project Vibes presents a full-screen display of purely AI-generated video clips, which users have created within the Meta AI app. You will find hyper realistic AI videos generated by users with random prompts.

23. YouTube Tests AI Features With Premium Members

YouTube’s “YouTube Labs” AI testing pool is now open to premium members, who can test out the newest tools that the company believes could be useful in the future. With features that will allow for new kinds of creation, editing, and other user experiences.

24. Tests of Product Listings in Google AI Mode AI-generated Product Overviews

After you click on a particular product, Google is testing AI-generated product summaries in the AI Mode results. A panel will open on the right side when you search for a product-related query in AI Mode, scroll to the products, and click on one. Google will begin to automatically construct an AI overview of that product in the test version of this panel before it loads.

25. Bing Experiments With Colourful Lines in Search Results

In the Bing search results, Microsoft Bing is experimenting with colourful lines and divider sections in the colours of grey, orange, blue and more.
