1.Meta Is Sending DMs to Every User on Threads

    After spending the past month testing different ways to send messages on the platform, Threads has now officially introduced its own direct messaging (DM) feature. During the testing phase, users could only see small previews or limited options, but now, the full DM system is live.

    2. Trending Topic Highlights Are Added by Threads in-stream

      Meta is introducing an additional method to assist Threads users in keeping up with the latest trending conversations, featuring new in-stream indicators of trending topics that will direct users towards emerging discussions.

      3. YouTube provides extra tools to promote the growth of Channel Audiences

        YouTube’s looking to provide channel managers with more tools to help grow their in-app communities, including updated audience engagement insights, and improved markers of interaction opportunities in-stream.

        4. Google Tests AI Mode in Chrome’s Desktop and Android Search Bars

          Google is currently testing a new feature that lets users search in AI Mode directly from the Chrome search bar. This feature is available on both desktop computers and Android devicesThis AI Mode is not active everywhere yet. Google is rolling it out as a test in specific regions, mainly in the United States and India.

          5. Zoomable and Sticky Similar Searches Are Checked by Bing Search

            Microsoft is experimenting Two new features are being tested to make related searches more interactive and easier to use. The first feature keeps related searches fixed in place at the top right corner of the screen as you scroll through the page. The second feature keeps the related searches are fixed; it allows users to zoom into a specific related search with just a hover of the mouse.

            6. Bing replaces everything with Web and puts Copilot Search as the first tab.

              The Copilot search tab has been moved by Microsoft to the top of the menu bar, right below the Bing search box. The “All” tab is now called “Web” by Microsoft as a result of this recent change.

              7. Bluesky Provides Users with Enhanced Control Over Notification

                Bluesky is adding features resemble Twitter. The latest updates focus on your notification settings and how you can control and personalise them. The first new feature lets you choose which accounts you want to get activity notifications from. The second lets you, decide who can send you notifications. You can also get alerts about re-posts of your posts, likes on your re-posts, and activity from other profiles.

                8.YouTube is testing an analytics bot — Ask Studio.

                  YouTube is working on a new AI tool inside YouTube Studio. The feature is called “Ask Studio,” and it will provide an AI bot that’s centred on your channel data. This tool focuses on analysing your channel’s stats and giving you simple summaries. It also offers tips on how to get better. 

                  9. Google Introduces Still Image Animation Feature to Its AI Creation Suite

                    Google added a new feature to its Flow AI tool that lets users animate still images. This update brings static images to life with animation. Simply put, you can now make photos move and look more interesting within the platform. 

                    10. Google Evaluates low, typical, and high price labels in its Search Result Snippets

                      Google is testing to display price label in its search results  for eCommerce product pages This extension informs users whether the price is low, high, or average for that product.

                      11. Google Search Ads Featuring People Also Consider Carousel Format

                        Google is exploring a new way to show related content in search results by testing a swipeable carousel format for the “People Also Consider” suggestions. This new feature aims to make it easier for users to browse through various options without having to leave the search page or scroll endlessly.

                        12. Google is experimenting with a zoom feature on images found in search results.

                          Google is currently testing a new feature that adds a zoom effect when you move your mouse cursor over images in search result snippets. Normally, these images stay still, just sitting there as quick visual clues for what the webpage might contain. But during this test, Google has introduced a slight zoom when your mouse hovers over a photo, making the images pop out a little more.

                          13. Microsoft Bing is trying out a delivery truck icon in its search ads.

                            Microsoft is currently trying out a new visual element in select Bing Search ads by incorporating a blue delivery truck icon. This feature is still in the testing phase, and has not been very visible. It might noticed in some search results and regular ad labels.

                            14. YouTube Adds Summer-Themed Stickers and Expands the Hype Creator Support Program

                              In addition to introducing new stickers with a summer theme that viewers can gift to artists during live-streams, YouTube is also making its “Hype” creator support function more widely available. Hype allows users to give videos from up-and-coming channels “hype points,” thereby upvoting these clips to increase their reach.

                              15. Google AI will now be able to contact companies on your behalf to place inquiries.

                                Google is launching AI-powered search features, like agentic capabilities, which let Google’s AI tools call local businesses for you, saving you the trouble of making a call yourself. .

                                17. Threads has enabled image sharing in DMs.

                                  Threads has improved its direct messaging feature by allowing users to send photos along with their messages. This new addition means that instead of just plain text, users can now easily share images with friends in their chats.

                                  16. Business profiles are now managing Google Local Service Ads reviews.

                                    Google Business Profile will now be used to fully control customer reviews. Instead of Local Services Ads account.Every review that already exists will be checked against Google Maps’ review guidelines. The quantity of reviews and star ratings can  have an impact on your company’s ranking in Local Services Ads.

                                    17. When setting up, Google Business Profiles now asks for a text or WhatsApp number.

                                      Google Business Profile now includes a new option that allows owners to add their WhatsApp number when setting up or editing their profile. This feature provides a simple way for businesses to connect with customers directly through WhatsApp. This feature is completely optional.

                                      18. Bing is testing Light Gray Underlined Sitelinks

                                        The highlighting of sitelinks with light gray underlining is being tested by Microsoft in the Bing search results.Generally, there is no underlining shown for Bing sitelinks. 

                                        19. Threads Adds More Audience Insights to Analytics

                                          Threads is introducing some new analytics tools that are designed to give you more information about how your Threads content was found. Additionally, there are al new charts to monitor interactions and views.

                                          20. YouTube Tests More AI Music Options and Threaded Comments

                                            YouTube is adding some new features to its AI-powered “Dream Track” music option and testing out a new “comment threading” function with YouTube Premium users.

                                            21. YouTube Enhances Shorts with Additional Generative AI Features

                                              By adding its most recent Veo picture animation and conversion tools to the Shorts, YouTube is giving Shorts access to additional generative AI features.

                                              22. Google’s Shopping and Product Discovery Tools Now Include More AI Features

                                                Google is introducing a number of new AI-powered shopping discovery features, such as text-based matching for fashion styles, updated pricing tracking to keep track of sales, and virtual try-on for specific apparel items.

                                                23. The home page search box now has a Google AI Mode button.

                                                  Google is finally adding an AI Mode option in the search bar on Google’s main page, after months of testing.

                                                  24. Google Removes Sponsored Labels to Find Ads for Related Goods and Services

                                                    In the past, Google used a larger sponsored label to identify the Find Related Products & Services search ads. The labels have now been deleted by Google, and a smaller font disclaimer stating that these are from advertisers is now placed beneath the area.

                                                    25. Bing is testing borders around search results.

                                                        Google released an alpha version of the Google Trends API, which allows users to access Google Trends data. This new API will help Researchers, Journalists, and Developers to understand Search behaviors and patterns.
